He has been attending school in Storrs since 2015, according to case records.

The case dates back to June 8, when police received a call from a local computer repair business that discovered "many" images of what appeared to be both young boys and girls engaging in sex acts with an adult, according to a warrant. Xingyu had brough in the machine, according to a warrant.

State police then initiated an investigation.

One file in particular had "Asain writing" on it and referred to children being 7 and 8 years old, according to a warrant. Xinguy told state police some of the files were obtained "years" ago in China and he thought they were "legal," according to a warrant.

According to the charge, there were more than 50 images in his possession.
