STAFFORD, CT — A vehicle hit a residence in Stafford as part of a weekend accident, state police said.
The crash took place at about 7 p.m. Saturday.
According to a crash report, a 27-year-old man from Palm Coast, FL, was in a 2015 Ford F150 pickup truck heading east on Tolland Avenue at a high rate of speed. The truck suddenly veered off the pavement, hit an embankment, re-entered the road and crossed the center line, according to a crash report.
The truck then shot across the westbound lane and wound up hitting residence, according to a crash report.
Both the home and vehicle were damaged, state police said. The truck was towed from the scene, state police said.
The driver was taken to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center with minor injuries, according to a crash report. The cause is still under investigation.
