STAFFORD, CT — Charges piled up for a driver who wreaked havoc at an intersection in Stafford over the weekend and then left the scene, state police said.
The incident took place at 4:55 p.m. on Sunday.
A car had left the scene of a three-vehicle crash on Crystal Lake Road after swerving into the wrong lane while recklessly plowing through the intersection, according to an arrest report.
The driver, identified as a 39-year-old Somers man, was intercepted a short distance away and promptly failed sobriety tests, according to an arrest report.
The man was charged with failure to grant the right of way at an intersection, failure to drive in the proper lane, driving under the influence and evading responsibility after a crash on Crystal Lake Road.
