Kitten Found 'Fighting For Life' And Brought To Willington Animal Control Showing Improvement

WILLINGTON, CT — A kitten who was fighting for his life after being rescued from the wild is showing improvement, Willington Animal Control officials said.

Animal Control is now asking the public to help with his recovery.

"This little guy is a fighter. His eyes are opening and he's starting to eat solid food," Animal Control officials said. "This tiny kitten needs your help."

The kitten, officially know as Impound No. 28, was born to a feral mother and came into Willington Animal Control in "heart-breaking condition," Animal Control officials said. He was "covered in infection and fighting for a chance at life," they added.

The kitten is currently receiving the urgent veterinary care "needed to give (him) the best opportunity to survive," Animal Control officials said.

They added, "The road to recovery will require extensive treatment, medications, and follow-up care. We are asking for the community’s help to offset these unexpected veterinary expenses."

Monetary donations can be made directly to Stafford Veterinary Center with a note that the donation is for Willington Animal Control – Impound No. 28.

"Every donation, no matter the amount, goes directly toward this kitten's medical care and helps us continue providing life-saving treatment to animals in need," Animal Control officials said.
