WILLINGTON, CT — A Brazilian driving a sport utility vehicle registered out of New Jersey was clocked at 108 mph along a stretch of highway in Willington, state police said.

According to an arrest report, at 2:09 p.m. last Thursday, a state trooper was conducting a driving enforcement detail on Interstate 84 westbound and clocked the SUV near Exit 71, according to an arrest report.

The driver, who is 35, pulled over and was charged with reckless driving, risk of injury to a child and second-degree reckless endangerment.

He was to appear in court Monday.
