Truck Takes Out Several Signs In Willington

WILLINGTON, CT — A tractor-trailer took out several signs after it jackknifed on a section of Interstate 84 in Willington, state police said.

The crash took place at 6:02 a.m.

According to a crash report, the truck was traveling on the I-84 Exit 71 ramp in Willington just after 6 a.m. on July 22. The driver, a 39-year-old Allentown, PA, man, lost control of the truck and it jackknifed and slid into a guardrail, according to a crash report.

The truck continued into the median and ran over several signs, according to a crash report.

The driver was not but was issued a ticket for a lane violation, state police said.
