Pickup Ends Up In Water After U-Turn In Stafford: State Police

STAFFORD, CT — A vehicle wound up in the water near the confluence of the Middle River and State Line Pond in Stafford, state police said.

The incident took place at 10:32 p.m. Friday, according to a state police crash report.

According to the report, a 37-year-old Hebron man was driving a 2007 Toyota Tundra west on Crow Hill Road, near the intersection of Stony Lane. The driver attempted to make a U-turn and somehow veered off the road and crashed into a ditch and then the water, according to a crash report.

No injuries were reported, but the driver was issued an ticket for a lane violation, state police said.
