STAFFORD, CT — Stafford's two open houses this weekend both come with room to spread out: a ranch on two acres with a stone-fireplace family room and a bar, and a country property on more than five acres with a separate in-law level.
Two Stafford homes are hosting open houses this weekend, one Saturday, Oct. 31, and one Sunday, Nov. 1, with prices of $549,900 and $629,900, according to Zillow.com. No Willington homes have open houses this weekend.
Saturday, Oct. 31
95 Chestnut Hill Road, Stafford, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $549,900. This three-bedroom, 2.5-bath ranch sits back from the road on 2.02 acres with a circular driveway. The kitchen has granite counters, a center island and a breakfast bar, and the main level holds all three bedrooms, including a primary suite. The listing says the finished lower level nearly doubles the living space, with a family room around a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and a custom bar. Zillow lists 3,104 square feet.
Sunday, Nov. 1
166 Cooper Lane, Stafford, noon to 1:30 p.m., $629,900. This four-bedroom, three-bath home sits on 5.58 acres, which the listing pitches for gardens, animals or a hobby farm. The main level has vaulted ceilings, a fireplace and a wood-burning stove. The walkout lower level is an in-law arrangement with its own entrance, kitchen, bedroom, full bath and living area. Zillow lists 1,605 square feet.
One open house a day makes Stafford an easy weekend: Chestnut Hill Road on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., then Cooper Lane on Sunday from noon to 1:30 p.m.
