Around Campus - Stafford, Willington College Students

STAFFORD-WILLINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Twenty psychology students expanded their worldview over winter session during a global field course in Hawaii. Titled "Cross-Cultural Well-Being and Relationships in Hawaii," the course ran from Jan. 2-11. Students were immersed in the local culture and visited some of the island chain's most breathtaking sites. Among the students was Kelly Bielonko of Willington, who majors in Psychology.

Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven CT

• Four students from Willington were named to the dean's list at Southern Connecticut State University for the fall 2018 semester. They are Karli Palmer, Liza Frassinelli, Allyson Petrella and Sabrina Silva. In order for undergraduate students to qualify for the dean’s list, students must complete 12.0 or more credits in fall or spring and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or better.
