  • Castleton University student Jacob Ives of Stafford Springs has become a certified member of the Castleton University Mentoring Program. The Castleton University volunteer mentoring program matches Castleton undergraduates with local fourth and fifth-grade students from the Castleton Village School. During weekly informal meetings throughout the academic year, the college student role models provide social support and encouragement for the children to aspire to attend college.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • The Communication Department at Eastern Connecticut State University held its annual Celebration of Excellence on April 19. During the event, students were inducted into the communication honor society, Lambda Pi Eta, and awards were given for excellence in different areas of the communication field. Among the inductees and award winners was Heidi Richards of Stafford Springs, who was inducted into the honor society.

  • It is with great pleasure that Southern New Hampshire University congratulates Kyle Piccoli and Joshua Zbierski, both of Stafford Springs, on being named to the winter 2018 Dean's List. Eligibility for the Dean's List requires that a student accumulate an academic grade point average of 3.5-3.699 and earn 12 credits for the semester.
