STAFFORD-WILLINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Champlain College, Burlington VT

• Tanner Kelley of Stafford has been named to the Champlain College Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. Students on the Dean's List have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester.

Coastal Carolina University, Conway SC

• More than 2,000 Coastal Carolina University students were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. Students who make the Dean's List have achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher during the semester. CCU has a student population of 10,600. Among those named to the Dean's List was Sean Ference, a Communication major from Willington.

Curry College, Milton MA

• Curry College is proud to announce that Lindsay Albert of Stafford Springs has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.30 GPA, have no incompletes, and have no grade lower than a "C" for the semester.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• At the conclusion of the 2017-18 academic year, 18 graduating seniors from Eastern Connecticut State University were recognized at the Honors Program Reception. Among those celebrated was Kaeley Vera of Willington, who majors in Elementary Education and Spanish. Vera's thesis is titled "Second Language Acquisition: A Creative Approach."
• Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its spring 2018 semester Dean's List for full-time students. Honorees from Willington and their majors are: Riley Bancroft, Pre-Secondary Education Certification and English; Kaeley Vera, Elementary Education and Spanish; Kelly Bielonko, Psychology; Kayley Crooke, Psychology; Samantha Dobbyn, History; Kyle Leach, Criminology; Christopher Mayo, Computer Science; Ashley Palozie, Accounting; Anthony Serra, Communication; and Benjamin Wasilefsky, New Media Studies. Stafford honorees are: Mark Carter, Sociology; Nathan Fish, Accounting; Madison Fitzgerald, Accounting; Aiden Goodwin, Criminology; Jillian Knowlton, Pre-Early Childhood Education and Psychology; Zachary Kulman, Sport & Leisure Management; Kaitlyn Mathieu, Pre-Elementary Education and Liberal Studies; Patrick Sekula, General Studies; and Caitlin Toney, Health Sciences. In order to be named to the Dean's List, Eastern students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the semester.
• Eastern Connecticut State University recently released its spring 2018 semester Dean's List for part-time students. Joseph Mack of Stafford Springs was named to the Dean's List. Mack's major is Business Administration. In order to be named to the Dean's List, Eastern students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher for the semester.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce the spring 2018 Dean's List. To be included on the Dean's List, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 or more credits for letter grades earning at least a 3.30 quality point average. Among the students honored were Heather Dolby of Stafford and Kimberly Lynn Konieczny of Willington.

University of Vermont, Burlington VT

• Lucas Myers of Stafford graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences during commencement ceremonies on May 20, 2018, at the University of Vermont. The university conferred degrees this year on an estimated 3,055 graduates, including 2,443 bachelor's, 387 master's, 112 doctoral and 113 medical degree recipients.
