American International College, Springfield MA

  • American International College (AIC) has named 463 students to the spring 2019 Dean's List. Dean's List students are full time students who have achieved a 3.3 to 4.0 GPA. Among those recognized are Sarah Lombardo of West Stafford, Emma Milikowski of Stafford Springs and Sophie Roberge of Willington.

  • Curry College is proud to announce that Lindsay Albert of Stafford Springs has been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.30 GPA, have no incompletes, and have no grade lower than a "C" for the semester.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • Eastern Connecticut State University's Department of Environmental Earth Science held is annual year-end celebration in the Science Building on May 6. At the event, 13 students were awarded for their work and excellence in the environmental earth science program. Among the awarded was James Wargo of Stafford Springs, who majors in Environmental Earth Science. Wargo was presented with the Hard Rock Research Recognition Award.
  • Eastern Connecticut State University's Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education held its annual year-end award ceremony and Alpha Upsilon Chi honor society induction ceremony on May 2. Among the honored was Chelsea Samperi of Stafford Springs, who majors in Physical Education. Samperi was inducted into Alpha Upsilon Chi.

University of Vermont, Burlington VT

  • Shannon Huda of Stafford Springs graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education - K-6 during commencement ceremonies on May 19, 2019, at the University of Vermont. The university conferred degrees this year on an estimated 3,275 graduates, including 2,580 bachelor's, 452 master's, 138 doctoral and 105 medical degree recipients. The Class of 2019 includes graduates from 43 states and 36 countries.
