Car Skids 40 Feet On Stafford Sidewalk: Report

A car wound up on a sidewalk after skidding on a Slick Road in Stafford on Sunday, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — A car wound up on a sidewalk after skidding on a slick road in Stafford on Sunday, state police said.

The incident took place at 6:02 p.m., state police reported.

A 2004 Saab 9-3 operated by 22-year-old Alexander Nadeau, of Willington, was traveling west on East Main Street and was preparing to turn left onto Willington Avenue, according to a report.

Nadeau lost control of the car, hopped the curb on the west side of Willington Avenue, traveled on the sidewalk for about 40 feet and finally stopped, partially on the road and partially on the sidewalk, according to a report.

Nadeau was issued a ticket for driving too fast for conditions, according to a report.
