College Achievements For Stafford, Willington Students

STAFFORD-WILLINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

American International College, Springfield MA

• Sarah Lombardo, of West Stafford, has been named to the spring 2018 Dean's List at American International College (AIC) in Springfield, MA. Dean's List students are full-time students with a grade point average between 3.3 and 4.0. Lombardo is majoring in Nursing at AIC.

Manchester Community College, Manchester CT

• Manchester Community College is pleased to announce its roster of students achieving President’s List recognition for the spring 2018 semester. The President’s List recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in the semester are eligible for this honor. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester, and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC, are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List. Full time honorees were Kaylee Donor, Alexa Rossi and Victoria Turk, all of Stafford. Local part time honorees were Grace Allaire, Gregory Downham, Adele Kopp, Jessica Regele and Mary West, all of Stafford, and Jacques Ouimette and Daniel Twiss, both of Willington.
• A number of local students were named to the MCC dean's list for the spring 2018 semester. They are Ryan Giannelli, Mohammad Ziyad Tariq and Ryan West, all of Stafford; Brian Gleason of Union; and Cathy Aforismo, Ashley Kennedy, William Luchon, Kalynne Marcantel, Kaitlyn Mott, Robyn Murphy and Megan Shain, all of Willington.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• The following local students were named to the Springfield College dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2018 term: Taylor Merrick of Stafford Springs, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Laura Townsend of Willington, studying Health Science; Jennifer Jacobi of Willington, studying Psychology; and Shannon Stuart of Stafford Springs, studying Recreation Management. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following local students have been named to the Dean's List for spring 2018: Emily Kopec, Sandra Korzeniewski and Maryssa DeRing, all of Stafford Springs, and Lingshan Zheng and Michelle Morrill, both of Willington.
