College Achievements By Students From Stafford, Willington

STAFFORD-WILLINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• More than 200 Eastern Connecticut State University students of African, Latino, Asian and Native American (ALANA) descent were honored on May 9 at the 2019 Inclusive Excellence Awards. All students who were honored achieved an overall GPA of at least 3.5. An additional 11 students were recognized for demonstrating exemplary co-curricular engagement at Eastern.
  Among the honored were two students from Stafford: Erica Christofferson, who majors in Music, was presented with an Academic Excellence Award, and Bethany Turner, who majors in Psychology, was presented with an Academic Excellence Award.

University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa AL

• Cortney Elizabeth Flenke of Stafford was named to The University of Alabama Dean's List for spring 2019. Students enrolled during the 2019 spring term at UA were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above.

University of New Hampshire, Durham NH

• Renee Chasse of Stafford Springs has been named to the Dean's List at the University of New Hampshire for earning Highest Honors for the spring 2019 semester. Chasse is majoring in Neuroscience & Behavior.

University of Saint Joseph, West Hartford CT

• Peyton Teske of Stafford and Lucy Roberge of Willington have been named to the University of Saint Joseph Dean’s List for the spring 2019 semester. Students who are awarded this academic achievement have earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher for the semester, with no grade lower than a “B.”
