STAFFORD, CT — As Connecticut battles through an excessive heat watch this weekend, with temperatures at or near 100 degrees, Stafford officials are advising residents to go to the Stafford Library to cool down.

The library will be available as a cooling center during normal hours - Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Officials will be closely monitoring weather conditions, and should an alternative location be opened as a cooling center, residents will be notified via an email blast and social media.
