A blown tire caused a wild wreck in Ashford, state police said.

ASHFORD, CT — A blown tire was the cause of a wild crash in Ashford earlier this month, a recently released state police crash reports says.
The crash took place just before 7 p.m. on June 3.
According to a state police crash report, a 24-year-old Coventry woman was heading west on Ashford Road in a 202 Jeep Compass. The passenger side front tire on the Jeep "rapidly deflated," and tjhe Jeep veered to the right, according to a crash report.

It then slammed into a speed limit sign, which broke in half and came completely out of the ground, according to a crash report.
The Jeep sustained "disabling" damage, but the driver escapd injury, according top a crash report.

No enforcement action was taken, state police said.
