'Donuts' At Stafford Speedway Event Lead To Arrest Of Teen

STAFFORD, CT — A vandalism incident during an event at Stafford Motor Speedway has landed a Rhode Island teen with a second-degree criminal mischief charge, state police said.

The teen was arrested on a warrant last week, state police said.

The incident took place on May 21 when the speedway hosted the Broke East Meet car show, according to a warrant. The teen was one of several people performing "donuts" in the parking lot near the driving range at the time of the show, according to a warrant.

The damage forced the speedway to close the range and the estimated loss in revenue exceeded $10,000, according to a warrant.
