Drunken Jumping Jacks In Busy Stafford Road Lead To Arrest: Police
A man was causing a disturbance in the middle of a road in Stafford over the weekend, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — A man who was apparently performing drunken jumping jacks in the middle of a busy road in Stafford over the weekend is facing a trio of criminal charges, state police said.
According to an arrest report, at 1:05 a.m. Saturday, the Troop C barracks received a call about a man causing a disturbance on Buckley Highway. Troopers detained him after seeing him jumping up and down in traffic, according to an arrest report.
As troopers were hauling him out of the road, he became "very agitated and defiant," and seemed "severely intoxicated," according to an arrest report.

Buckley Highway is state Route 190.
The man, a 33-year-old with a Webster, MA, address, was charged with being a negligent pedestrian, along with disorderly conduct and interfering with police. He posted a $5,000 bond and is due in Rockville Superior Court on Nov. 8, records show.
