'Extended Lug Nuts' Cause I-84 Crash: State Police
A truck and car collided on a highway in Willington, state police said.

WILLINGTON, CT — State police said a truck's protruding lug nuts caused a crash on Interstate-84.
A report on the Dec. 15 accident was made available this week.
At 7:12 p.m. that day, a tractor-trailer was in the center lane on the westbound side of the highway a half-mile shy of Exit 70, according to a report.

A 2009 Toyota Camry was in the right lane and the truck's front end — specifically the "extended" lug nut bolts on a front wheel — hit it, state police said.
No injuries were reported.
