Former Stafford First Selectman Accused of Erasing Town Files
Former Stafford First Selectman Anthony Frassinelli was arrested on Monday for computer crimes.

STAFFORD, CT — Former Stafford First Selectman Anthony Frassinelli was arrested on Monday on accusations that he erased town files from a computer at town hall his last day on the job, state police said.
Frassinelli, 52, was charged with altering records and a third-degree computer crime, according to a warrant. He was arrested at his home at 8:45 a.m., posted a $5,000 bond after being booked at the state police troop C barracks and is due in court on July 10, according to an arrest report.
Frassinelli lost to current First Selectman Mary Mitta by the count of 1,429 to 1,345. Mitta told police when she reported to the office on Nov. 21 for her first day at the helm, all the documents were erased from the desktop computer in the first selectman's office.

Files were erased from the computer's hard drive and files were also erased from the server, according to an arrest report. E-mails were also gone, according to an arrest report.
It was determined that the files were wiped out after hours on Nov. 20 because they were still on the computer during regular business hours that day, according to an arrest report.
