Gordon Endorsed For Re-Election In 35th Senate District

COVENTRY, CT — Dr. Jeff Gordon this week was unanimously endorsed for re-election as the Republican candidate for state senate in the 35th District.

The 35th Senate district is comprised of Ashford, Chaplin, Coventry, Eastford, Ellington, Hampton, Stafford, Thompson, Tolland, Union, Vernon, Willington and Woodstock.

"I am continuing to work hard as your State Senator," said Gordon, who is a physician. "I made a promise to work for you, to work with you, and to always be on your side. That is a promise I have kept and will continue to do so."

Dr. Gordon emphasized a "commitment" to fiscal restraint.

"I am fighting for you to keep more of your hard-earned money," he said. "In fact, I helped enact historic income tax cuts and further tax savings on retirement and pension accounts. I am working to make Connecticut more affordable, including through reforms of electricity costs."

Gordon ]also highlighted "efforts to protect personal freedoms, individual rights, parental rights, and medical freedoms."

He said, "I am fighting for you to be able to decide how best to live your life, raise your family, and conduct your livelihood without government micromanaging how to do it."

Gordon also pledged support support for law enforcement and public education.

"I am fighting for our law enforcement to keep you safe and hold criminals accountable. I am fighting for public education. I opposed significant cuts in state funding for our schools and won. I also helped secure more overall funding in the state budget."
"I am fighting for people to have opportunities in life and to strive for success through hard work. I am advocating for the best in health care services here locally and throughout Connecticut. As a doctor, I know very well about patient care. I stopped cuts in labor & delivery and women’s health services and was a bipartisan leader in meaningful insurance reforms to reduce red tape and unnecessary delays in treatments and medications."
Additionally, Dr. Gordon spoke about his work on housing affordability. "I am fighting for better ways for the state to work with our towns on housing affordability, while still upholding your local decision-making in your own town. I am fighting for our communities.

"As your State Senator, I am doing all these things and more, using common sense and leading with experience."

A crowd of more than 50 from throughout the 35th District, representing every town, gathered for the caucus.
