Guidelines For Submitting Letters to Stafford-Willington Patch
Campaign season for local offices is in full swing, which usually generates a considerable amount of letters to the editor.

STAFFORD-WILLINGTON, CT — Election Day for local office candidates is fast approaching on Nov. 5, and with that comes the inevitable letters to the editor.
Stafford-Willington Patch has established some basic rules to which letter writers must adhere:
- Patch Media welcomes letters to the editor on local and statewide topics, and reserves the right to edit letters for brevity or clarity.
- Acceptable letters regarding political candidates will refer to the positive qualities of the candidate; letters which are mainly negativity toward a candidate's opponent will be edited or unpublished.
- Please focus letters on local races.
- Email letters, including the writer's name, address and phone, to tim.jensen@patch.com.
- Deadline for letters is Oct. 31; letters received after that date will not be published.
- From now through the election, just one letter per writer will be accepted for publication consideration.
