Impatient Willington Resident Accused Of Clogging Up 911 System
A man demanding to speak with a trooper about a case would not stop calling dispatchers over the routine matter, according to. warrant.

WILLINGTON, CT — A Willington resident who became impatient over obtaining a state police report is now facing a charge related to misuse of the 911 system, a warrant indicates.
The 44-year-old man is due in court on May 31, records show.
According to a warrant, the man called the Troop C barracks dispatch center at 6:59 a.m. on April 25 and requested to speak with a trooper who is investigating a case he is involved in. He refused to leave a voicemail for the trooper and called back again at 7:01 a.m., according to a warrant

He was told by another trooper that the trooper in question was not in the building and again, the man refused to leave a voicemail, this time becoming "irate and agitated," according to a warrant.
He called back again at 7:11 a.m. — his third call on the routine line — and again asked for the investigating trooper and again refused to leave a voice message, a warrant indicates.

At 7:25 a.m., he called on the 911 line and spoke for nearly a minute, according to a warrant. He was told not to call back on that line and warned for misuse, but did so twice more over the next seven minutes, case records show. He then called the Troop K routine line with the same request, according to a warrant.
State police them traced the call via the 911 system and questioned the man. State police then applied for a warrant.
