Man Accused Of Ditching Sex Registry Now Out Of Stafford, Records Show
A man who was charged with failing to register as a sex offender with a Stafford address has moved out of town, records show.

STAFFORD, CT — A man who had been living in Stafford and charged with a dozen counts of failing to register as a sex offender 15 months ago has had three more counts added to his record, an arrest warrant shows. He has, however, apparently moved out of town, records show.
A warrant was served to 33-year-old Matthew Frazier on Aug. 13 adding the three charges, state police said. A final notice about failing to update his information in the registry was sent to him on Jan. 20, but the letter from state authorities was returned from the 17 Park St. address in Stafford, according to a warrant.
On the same day he was arrested, Frazier appeared in Rockville Superior Court and his case was unconditionally discharged, records show. He is now registered as a sex offended at 54 Ramsdell St. in New Haven according to the updated entry for him.

In May 2023, Frazier was charged with 12 counts of failing to register as a sex offender for a case that dates back to 2013 in Vernon, state police said.

Frazier was convicted of second-degree sexual assault of a girl younger than 16 in February 2014. Vernon police records show that girl was 15 and the offense took place in February 2013.
He was sentenced to seven years in prison, suspended after two and given 10 years probation.
Records show he had previously lived in New Haven, but was convicted in Rockville Superior Court when he lived in Somers, records show. His address then appeared in state police records as 17 Park St., in Stafford.
He is back in New Haven, records show.
