Man Caught With Stolen Car At School In Stafford: State Police

A Southington man has been arrested in a stolen vehicle case.

STAFFORD, CT — A man was caught with a stolen vehicle at a former school parking lot in Stafford, state police said.

Alex James Rodriques, 22, of Southington, was arrested in the case Sunday, state police said.

According to an arrest report, while on routine overnight patrol, a trooper noticed a suspicious vehicle parked at the old Witt elementary school in Stafford. A check of the Department of Motor Vehicles database confirmed the car was stolen and Rodrigues admitted to taking it from Palmer farm in North Stonington, according to an arrest report.

Rodriques was to appear in Rockville Superior Court Monday.
