Man Charged After Going Berserk in Hospital Emergency Room: Cops

A man is accused of running around a hospital emergency room after jumping off a stretcher.

STAFFORD, CT — An Enfield man is facing an assault charge after jumping off a stretcher and going berserk in the Johnson Memorial Hospital emergency room, state police said.

Aldor Therian, 31, of Enfield, was also charged assaulting a public safety officer and second-degree breach of peace for the June 29 incident. He was arrested on a warrant Thursday.

Therian was in the hospital at 2:56 p.m. According to a report, state police were told he was "out of control" and running around the emergency room after jumping off a stretcher.

Staff members attempted to corral him and, in the process, a doctor was kicked in the chest, according to a report.

He is due in court on Aug. 15, state police said.
