STAFFORD, CT — A man accused of assaulting a Stafford resident over a two-day period began faking injuries when state police took him into custody, according to a state police arrest report.

Farnk Ishod Kelly, 28, of Mashantucket, was arrested Sunday. He was charged with first-degree unlawful restraint, second-degree strangulation, second-degree threatening, third-degree assault, interfering with an emergency call, disorderly conduct, interfering with police and failure to comply with fingerprinting requirements, according to an arrest report.

During the apprehension process, Kelly began to continuously fake ailments in an effort to hold up the process, state police said in a report.

When he was finally booked, Kelly was held overnight on a $30,000 bond and was to appear in court Monday, state police said.
