Man Charged With Threatening Workplace Violence in Stafford
A man is due in court next week to answer to alleged workplace violence threats in Stafford.

STAFFORD, CT — A Massachusetts man due in Court next week after he allegedly threatened workplace violence because of mounting tensions with management at a Stafford business, an arrest warrant states.
Ricardo Maldonado, 49, of Chicopee, MA, was arrested on May 2 for second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace, according to a warrant. He posted a $10,000 bond and is due on court on May 16, state police said.
The threats were made last month at TTM Technologies in Stafford, according to a warrant.

According to the warrant, co-worker of Maldonado's approached a manager about Maldonado stating, "One day, I'm going to bring my gun to work and go postal on her," referring to a department head.
He also is accused of inquiring about "a hit man," according to the warrant.

The warrant states management and Maldonado had discussions about his performance and tensions had been mounting between the two. One employee referenced feeling compelled to watch the door on a day Maldonado was out sick, according to a warrant.
He has been suspended from work, according to the warrant.
