Man Jailed In Kidnapping, Home Invasion Case In Stafford

A slew of charges including attempted sexual assault have been filed against the suspect, according to state police.

STAFFORD, CT — A Hartford man is being held in custody in lieu of $100,000 bond following a report of kidnapping and attempted sexual assault at a Stafford residence.

Juan Serrano, 25, of 146 Park Terr., Hartford, was charged with home invasion, criminal attempt to commit first-degree sexual assault, second-degree kidnapping, second-degree unlawful restraint and two counts of third-degree assault. He is slated to be arraigned Monday in Rockville Superior Court.

A state police report indicates troopers were dispatched to a home on Tetrault Road at 4:28 p.m., with a report of an assault and a second report of kidnapping. Police found Serrano driving on a road in Stafford with the victim, and he was taken into custody.
