STAFFORD, CT — A Stafford man accused of pedaling around town on a bicycle and burglarizing car has been charged with three crimes, state police said.
Thomas Lazarz, 32, was arrested Oct. 16 and charged with larceny in the fourth and sixth degrees and third-degree burglary, according to a report.
State troopers developed a suspect in the case on Aug. 1, when they received photos of a man on a bicycle in a dirt residential driveway believed to be connected with a series of vehicle burglaries a month earlier, according to a report. The following day, while looking around town, a trooper noticed a bike against a fence and a pair of sneakers hanging on a stockade fence matching those in the pictures.
