Missing Teen Arrested After Doing 100 MPH in Stolen Car: Report
A teen missing out of Hamden was found in a stolen car in Willington, state police said.

WILLINGTON, CT — A 15-year-old who was missing out of Hamden showed up in a stolen car doing 100 mph on Interstate-84 in Willington, a state police report indicates.
The incident was on Thursday at 2:28 in the morning, according to an arrest report. A trooper was on a speed enforcement detail on the westbound side of the highway when he noticed a vehicle race past him at 85 mph, according to a report.
The trooper caught up to the vehicle, and it was then exceeding 100 mph, according to a report.

The car then pulled into the westbound rest area in Willington, state police said, and the teen was taken into custody on charges that include reckless driving and operating without a license.
A second-degree larceny charge was added when it was discovered the vehicle was stolen out of Hamden, according to a report.
