Nursing License of RN From Stafford Placed On Probation

She admitted to diverting and abusing several narcotics while working at a hospital in Hartford, according to a signed consent order.

HARTFORD, CT — The license of a registered nurse who resides in Stafford has been placed on probation for four years following an investigation into allegedly diverting and using several narcotics while practicing at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.

Last Wednesday, the state Board of Examiners for Nursing approved a signed consent order for the probationary period for RN Kelly Didio. The board contended Didio diverted and utilized to excess oxycodone, hydrocodone and/or morphine in Oct. 2015. She is also accused of abusing morphine in Dec. 2016; norfentanyl in May 2017; and admitted to using a single hydrocodone pill in June 2019.

Didio, a licensed nurse in Connecticut since 2009, opted not to contest the violations at a hearing.

Numerous conditions were ordered during her probationary period, including therapy, counseling and random drug and alcohol screenings.
