Parked Car Pushed 150 Feet In Stafford DUI Crash: Report

An accused drunken driver pushed a parked car 150 feet after slamming into it in Stafford, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — An accused drunken driver pushed a parked car 150 feet after slamming into it on High Street in Stafford last week, a state police report indicates.

It was the second car hit by 30-year-old Jesse Alson in the sequence, according to arrest and crash reports. At 7:27 p.m. on Thursday, he was traveling east on High Street near the Benton Street intersection in a 2003 Toyota Camry when he hit a 2001 Honda Civic parked along the sidewalk, according to reports.

He then continued to a 2002 Honda Accord, which he pushed 150 feet to the east after his car slammed into it, according to reports.

Both cars were towed away, but no injuries were reported. Alson was charged with a lane violation and driving under the influence, according to reports.

He is due in court on Oct. 17, state police said.
