Police Dog Nabs Fentanyl Stash After Crash In Willington
A police dog uncovered drugs in a car last week in Willington.

WILLINGTON, CT — An alert police dog nabbed a stash of a deadly drug inside a vehicle after a crash on Ruby Road in Willington, a report indicates.
The crash took place near 7 Ruby Road on June 16. According to an arrest report, at 8:18 p.m., state police responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash. The vehicle involved was tracked down a short time later on Interstate 84 and police dog Drago alerted troopers to narcotics in the vehicle, which turned out to be 26 bags of fentanyl, according to an arrest report.
Allen Hornacek, 35, of Stafford, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, evading responsibility with property damage, driving without proper insurance and a lane violation, state police said.
