Stafford Chainsaw Thief Sought By State Police

State police are looking for a man who stole a chainsaw from a store in Stafford.

STAFFORD, CT — The Stafford Resident Trooper’s Office is looking to identify a man who walked into the Aubuchon Hardware store in town on Saturday and stole a chainsaw.

The incident took place at 12:25 p.m., state police said.

The bandit was captured on surveillance footage and state police released images of the caper on Tuesday. The man was wearing a long-sleeved gray shirt with a camouflage hat and had a yellow glove on his left hand, state police said.

The chainsaw was a Stihl MS 461 valued at $1,039, state police said.

The getaway vehicle was an older model BMW with tinted windows, state police said.
