Stafford Man Arrested Twice In Same Day For Drug Offenses: State Police

WILLINGTON, CT — A driver was found passed out along a road in Willington with a high-potency and dangerous drug — his second incident of the day — state police said.

Troy Burns, a 38-year-old from Stafford, was charged just after 6 p.m. on Sept, 23 with possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, driving while under suspension and the use of drug paraphernalia after state police encountered his vehicle on Jared Sparks Road.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of fentanyl, according to an arrest report.

Burns was arrested earlier in the day for possessing narcotics, state police records show.
