Stafford Man Charged for Screwdriver Threat: Police

The incident started with a borrowed car.

STAFFORD, CT — A Stafford man took a car without permission, returned it, but before the escapade was over threatened to kill someone with a screwdriver police said.

Corey Huntley, 39, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening for the March 6 incident, state police said. He is due in court on March 12.

Police were called to a Valery Road home about a vehicle being taken without permission.

It was returned, but Huntley then caused a disturbance and threatened to kill a 66-year-old woman while brandishing a screwdriver, according to an arrest report.

He left the scene and was arrested at another location in town, state police said.
