Stafford Man Gets 'Intent to Terrorize' Charge In Trespassing Case
A warrant was served a felony charge in a trespassing case in Stafford.

STAFFORD, CT — A local man who had been kicked out of a local doughnut shop in Stafford is now facing two sets of charges after returning to the store, state police said. One charge is a serious felony related to an "intent to terrorize" situation, state police said.
State police released details of the case this week.
At 4 p.m. on Oct. 25, troopers went to the Big Y supermarket to deliver a warrant to a 42-year-old Stafford resident Kyle Reynolds for trespassing violations, according to an arrest report. He was spotted near the Route 190 Dunkin' Donuts, for which has had a no-trespass order, and he began to flee.

He was tracked down and charged with third-degree criminal trespass and interfering with police for being where he wasn't supposed to be and, on a warrant with second-degree breach of peace in a public place, second-degree harassment and first-degree threatening after an incident at the Big Y supermarket.
According to an arrest report, the first-degree threatening charge from the warrant stemmed from state statute 53a-61aa, a felony related to a threat "to commit any crime involving the use of a hazardous substance with the intent to terrorize another person, to cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly or facility of public transportation or otherwise to cause serious public inconvenience."
