Stafford Obituary: James Chase, 74

Condolences to his family and friends.

James C. Chase, 74, of Stafford Springs, husband of the late Patricia (Rowett) Chase, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.

He was born in Hartford, son of the late Clayton A. and Frances (Mason) Chase. Jim worked in HVAC having been a co-owner of Heritage Oil, and also worked at American Fuel and Connecticut Refining. His hobbies included golfing and collecting TEXACO trucks. Above all, he loved his family and the time he was able to spend with them, especially his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his three children, Timothy Chase and his wife Christine of South Carolina, Tina Sladek and her husband Kevin of Stafford Springs, and Tammy Castonguay and her husband Claude of Stafford Springs; six grandchildren, Cooper and Willow Chase, Elizabeth Sladek, and Austin, Adam, and Danielle Castonguay; sister, Judy Erker; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Susan Wade.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 1-3 P.M. with a prayer service to take place at 3 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs. Burial will be private.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard St., Alexandria, VA 22311.
