
Mary J. (Dotter) Cimino, 90 of Enfield, entered into eternal life, on Monday May 14, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. She was the widow of Francis J. Cimino.
Mary was born on Aug. 20, 1927 in Stafford Springs to the late Angelo and Maria (Dalcin) Dottor. As a child she grew up in Stafford Springs and attended St. Edward’s Catholic School.
Mary had resided in Enfield since 1959. Prior to retiring she was a Crossing Guard with the Town of Enfield for 10 years and was employed with Casual Corner Warehouse from 1983 to 1993.

She enjoyed gardening and grew the best vegetables, as well as baking her famous Christmas cookies, her greatest joy was family and watching her three cherished grandchildren grow up and being with them every day.
She would also watch morning mass on TV. Mary was a member of Holy Family Church and honorary member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society Auxiliary, where she worked the Fried Dough Booth during the Italian Festival.

Mary is survived by her two loving daughters AnnMarie Butler and husband Thomas of Enfield and Lisa Cimino of South Windsor, her three grandchildren Francis J. Butler, Marisa A. Butler and Anthony T. Butler, along with several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law Livio and Joan Dottor, a sister Delphina Dottor and a sister and brother-in-law Milton and Grace Lee.
The family would especially like to thank the staff of St. Francis Hospital for the attention and compassion given to Mary, especially the Family Medicine Group.
Mary’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday May 17, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 18, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Bernard Church 426 Hazard Ave. Enfield (please meet at church). Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield.
