
Robert H. Leffingwell, 92, of Union, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Stafford Springs, son of the late Henry and Elsie (Horton) Leffingwell. Bob served our country in the United States Army during World War II, and retired from the University of Connecticut as a sanitation engineer. His hobbies and interests included cars, bluegrass music, and chopping fire wood.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Eleanor (Roberts) Leffingwell; two children, William Leffingwell and his wife Marguerite, and Fawn Sevcik and her husband John; daughter-in-law, Colleen Leffingwell; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Raymond Leffingwell; and two sisters, Evelyn Lee and Muriel Stevens.

A calling hour will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 10-11 A.M. with a funeral service to take place at 11 A.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Stafford Springs Cemetery, Stafford Springs.
Memorial donations may be made to the Union Volunteer Fire Department, 1049 Buckley Highway, Union, CT 06076.
