Stafford Springs' Michael J. Introvigne Elected Treasurer of Connecticut Funeral Directors Association
Local Funeral Director is a Leader of Statewide Professional Association
Michael J. Introvigne has been elected Treasurer of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (CFDA). Prior to this position, he served as the association’s Secretary. He was elected to this position at the association’s Annual Meeting and Convention in December.
Introvigne is a licensed funeral director/embalmer at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc. in Stafford Springs. The funeral home is owned by his father, Joseph R. Introvigne, and where he works alongside his brother, Joseph R. Introvigne, Jr., who also is a licensed funeral directors/embalmers. The family has been in the funeral service profession for 60 years and three generations, first with Michael’s grandfather, the late Joseph A. Introvigne.
Introvigne became a licensed funeral director/embalmer in 2012 after receiving his professional schooling from Lincoln College of New England (now known as Goodwin University). In addition, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Western New England University in Springfield, Mass.

He is the President of the Citizens Scholarship Foundation of Stafford Springs/Dollars for Scholars, and is a Corporator of Stafford Savings Bank. He lives in Stafford Springs, Conn. with his wife, Alessandra, and two children.

The 137-year-old Connecticut Funeral Directors Association is comprised of funeral directors at more than 220 funeral homes.
