Stafford Staffers Break Up Brawl Near Town Hall
Town Hall employees broke up a fight in Stafford and two were charged.

STAFFORD, CT — Two teens have been arrested for a March 1 brawl in a parking lot near town hall that had top be broken up by municipal staff members.
Cayleigh Sauermann-Courneen, 18, of Stafford, was charged with risk of injury to a child, conspiracy to commit both sixth-degree larceny and second-degree robbery and second-degree breach of peace, according to a warrant served this week.
A 17-year-old was charged with second-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, second-degree breach of peace involving an assault, and third-degree assault, according to a warrant.

The two are accused of driving along Main Street in Sauermann-Courneen's white 2000 Cadillac Deville and yelling at a 15-year-old on his bike, according to a warrant. They have had problems in the past, police said. The car went past the town hall parking lot and then came back.
A struggle over an allegedly stolen bicycle ensued and a fight broke out. Stafford Town Hall employees ran out to break up the altercation.
