Stafford SummerFest, Fireworks Set For July 1 At School Complex

STAFFORD, CT — Stafford's SummerFest & Fireworks is scheduled to return Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the Stafford School Complex, with a rain date of July 2.

The summer celebration will take place at Stafford High School, 145 Orcuttville Road, where admission and parking will be free.

According to the event announcement, SummerFest & Fireworks will include food trucks, live music, civic groups, lawn games, art activities and a fireworks show. The event is billed as a summer kickoff and will close with fireworks tied to America's 250th anniversary.

The event is sponsored by Stafford Savings Bank.

Festivities are set to begin at 5 p.m. with regional food trucks and mobile eateries. Menus will range from international street fare and farm-to-table options to desserts and classic fair food. Local community groups are also expected to be on hand to share information about their work and services.

Live music is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. with the Loveland Hill Band. The group is an area favorite with a repertoire that spans generations.

Lawn games and art activities are also planned as part of the evening program.

The event announcement says Stafford SummerFest & Fireworks is "back, heralding the start of summer with an array of delights." It also describes the finale as "an amped-up, can’t-miss fireworks spectacular in honor of America’s 250th anniversary, lighting up the night sky."

All activities are planned for the high school grounds. According to the announcement, the site offers wide grassy fields and open views for watching the fireworks. Parking and viewing areas will be designated throughout the complex.

Organizers said the event will be staged July 2 if weather forces a postponement on July 1.
