State Aid Going To Road Improvements In Willington

WILLINGTON, CT — The State Bond Commission Friday approved funding for a road project in Willington.
A $2 million grant is now headed to the town for improvements to Schofield Road and Village Hill Road.
State Sen. Jeff Gordon (R-Woodstock), member of the legislature’s Appropriations Committee, applauded the award.

'Thank you to the legislature for authorizing this funding and to Governor Lamont and the Bond Commission for their approval. This aid will help Willington with needed roadway repairs," Gordon said. "The project impacts the quality of life in our area for the better and I have been advocating for these critical investments in our towns and in northeastern Connecticut."
The state funding is part of a larger agenda that includes similar projects across Connecticut affecting economic development, public safety and transportation.
