State Police Investigating Catalytic Converter Thefts In Stafford

Three catalytic converters were taken within minutes of each other in Stafford early Saturday, state police said.

STAFFORD, CT — State police are investigating the theft of catalytic converters in Stafford over the Memorial Day weekend.

Three were taken in the area of Center Street at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

Based on video obtain from establishments in the area, the thieves were traveling in a mid-sized black sport utility vehicle, according to an incident report. After the thefts, it was spotted heading east on Route 190, state police said.
