State Police Investigating Stafford/Willington Motorcycle Crash

State police are investigating a serious motorcycle crash that took place over the weekend during a trek from Stafford into Willington.

WILLINGTON, CT — State police said they are investigating a serious motorcycle crash that took place over the weekend during a trek from Stafford into Willington.

The crash took place at 7:17 p.m. on Saturday on River Road — state Route 32 — just north of Old River Road, according to a report. Sarah Caine, 38, of Willington, was traveling south in Stafford on a 2000 Suzuki SV660, according to a report. She passed another vehicle, went over the Willington line, and lost control of the bike shortly after, according to a report.

She was ejected from the bike after hitting a metal guardrail and sustained what state police said in a report were "serious injuries." She was taken to Hartford Hospital, according to a report.

Caine was wearing a helmet and the bike was registered to and owned by a Manchester man, according to a report.

State police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call Trooper Mark Marquis at the Troop C barracks, 860-896-3200.
