State Police Looking For Getaway Car Used In Stafford Burglary

State police are looking for a pair of bandits that fled a gas station, went whipping areound the Stafford fountain and sped away.

STAFFORD, CT — State police are looking for a pair of bandits that fled a gas station, went whipping areound the Stafford fountain and sped toward rural northeastern Connecticut.

At about 4 p.m. Tuesday, two suspects burglarized the Eagle Mart/Sunoco gas station in downtown Stafford, state police said. The suspects smashed the front door to the business and stole both money and merchandise, according to a report.

The suspects jumped into a car and fled eastbound on Route 190 in the area of Rockwell Road, according to a report. State police released surveillance imaghes of the vehicle.
