WILLINGTON, CT — An 18-year-old driver from Willimantic crashed her vehicle in Willington and was later determined to be impaired, state police said.

A report on the June 4 incident was recently released.

According to a crash report, the accident took place 13 minutes before midnight. The teen was traveling north along the 100 block of Moose Meadow Road with an 18-year-old passenger and lost control of her 2013 Toyota Highlander, according to a crash report.

The vehicle wound up in a ditch, according to a crash report.

Both teens were not seriously hurt, state police said.

The driver, though, failed sobriety tests and was arrested. She is now facing a driving under the influence charge, records show.
